A transparent invitation: The glass facade allows passersby a glimpse of the handcrafted textiles within, seamlessly connecting the exterior to the retail experience.

Shades of India

A retail store in Gurugram designed to foreground the product while using modular, material-honest display systems to support flexibility and long-term use.

A Flexible System for Product-Led Retail

The interior was conceived as a neutral, adaptable backdrop that allows the textiles and objects on display to remain the visual focus. Instead of using decorative surfaces, the space is defined through clean lines, raw finishes, and a restrained palette that creates a calm and premium environment without competing with the merchandise.

A custom display system was developed using laser-cut mild-steel panels, box sections, and timber elements. The perforated panels and grooved verticals allow shelves, rods, and pegs to be rearranged easily, enabling the store layout to change as collections evolve. Concealed storage integrated behind displays and beneath tables keeps the retail floor uncluttered, ensuring that the store remains efficient to operate while presenting a clear, organized experience for customers.
