BnB at Purukul

A compact boutique BnB in Purkul designed around a central courtyard, water features, and valley-facing rooms to create a calm and efficient guest experience.

Hospitality Shaped by Landscape and Climate

The BnB is planned as a small hospitality campus rather than a single block. Entry is guided alongside a linear water body, leading into a central courtyard that organizes movement and brings light into the depth of the site. Guest rooms are arranged around this courtyard across two levels, while balconies and verandahs open toward the valley, ensuring every room receives light, air, and a clear view. A loft level above the courtyard accommodates service and storage areas, keeping the guest areas quiet and uncluttered.

At the front of the site, a coffee lounge functions both as a public café and as a buffet space for guests, activating the street edge while remaining connected to the internal courtyard. The architecture blends simple European elements such as arches with local Dehradun features like sloped roofs and regional materials, creating a building that feels contemporary while remaining appropriate to its setting and climate.
